STAND UP COMEDY

In May 2001 Darren opened The Laugh Garage Comedy Club in the city of Sydney with fellow Comedian Tony Bailey. The club moved to it's current home in Parramatta in 2004.

In March 1998, Darren toured the USA where he performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, The Improv in Irvine and featured in Chicago and Idaho comedy venues. He performs in all of the top class comedy clubs around Australia regularly, from The Sit Down Comedy Club in Brisbane, The Laugh Garage Comedy Club in Sydney and The Comedy Club in Melbourne. He was also a part of the successful show in 2000 at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, 'The Good Sport, The Bad Sport and The Ugly Sport'. The CD 'The Laugh Garage presents', showcasing 25 top comedians in Australia was also produced by Darren.

This brand of joke-telling has spawned many of today's big money comics, including Jerry Seinfeld, Paul Reiser and the master and originator, George Carlin. Prefacing their jokes with, "Does this happen to you?", these observational comedians' shine a spotlight on our quirky and silly habits making us laugh at ourselves.
